Attention Platinum dancers! Put on your dancing shoes and come show off your talents! On Thursday, February 28th, NY-LA-NASH Entertainment is casting a TV pilot that’s filming in Nashville, TN. The TV project is planning on filming this summer and the show’s theme will center around a performing arts school for grade/middle/high school students. It’ll be a dramedy for tweens, combining parts of “Fame” and “Gilmore Girls”. How exciting is that?!
The show’s producers are looking for dancers who can act; and all roles are paid spots! Auditions are free and will take place at 7 pm. The age ranges are 6-9, 10-14, 15-17, and 18-24. They have been auditioning dancers in AL, GA, TX, LA, KY, and at select studios in TN. We are proud that Platinum Dance Studio is one of the studios that was selected!
NY-LA-NASH is also offering 3 one-hour cross training classes for dancers that same day for only $25 per class. Classes start at 4 pm and each class will consist of a maximum of 15 students (minimum 
for age groups: 11 and under; 12-17; and, 18 and over.
In the “On Camera Commercial” class you will learn how to prepare, read, and perform commercials on camera. This is a great class for dancers who want to continue in the entertainment industry in between performances! (Note: A National US commercial can potentially earn an actor/dancer $20,000.00 +.) Wow, this is definitely a subject worth knowing more about!
“Audition Techniques for Dancers” is an informative class where dancers will experience a mock audition including learning choreography and performance. Headshots, resumes, agents, casting directors and other important details will be discussed – all excellent and useful info!
The “Pop Music” class will explain choreography seen in music videos. You will become the entertainer, singing or lip-synching, while performing Hip-Hop/Jazz style movements! Different staging techniques will be reviewed as well. What fun!
