Platinum Dance Studio has had a tremendously successful start to 2013 with our talented dancers performing and winning at several competitions! This past weekend, 22 – 24 February, we competed in Birmingham, AL at the Kids Artistic Revue (KAR). Here is some info about the event:

KAR was established in the Los Angeles area, by Noah R. Lands, to provide an outstanding outlet for dancers and choreographers to showcase their talents.Over the years, KAR has become one of the oldest and most successful competitions in the dance industry. (They are now entering their 30th season!) They grew from 1 day regional competitions to hosting exciting 3 day regional events. KAR has also expanded their Grand National finals to four beautiful locations: Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Panama City, and Toledo.

In an industry where new dance competitions appear yearly, Kids Artistic Revue continues to stand out as a well-organized, professional, and highly reputable organization. They continually update and search for ways to provide a quality and professional show with a fun and family atmosphere. By using the latest in technology to make the competition easier for studio owners, directors, and teachers, they also keep the show entertaining and fast paced for the dancers and spectators. The entire staff at KAR truly cares for the dancers, teachers, and spectators!

KAR’s goal is to give dancers of all ages and abilities the opportunity to showcase their talent in a positive environment while still performing under the evaluation of qualified judges. KAR believes that age and class hours should not be the only criteria used in placing dancers in a competition. They encourage all dancers, regardless of their abilities, to perform at the event. This philosophy results in a rewarding experience for everyone involved!

We are so proud of our wonderful dancers who represented Platinum Dance Studio at this event! Here are the competition results:

That’s why our studio is different than many others; we are helping to raise well rounded, respectful, appreciative young people, not just great dancers!

Great job everyone! Keep up the good work!
