Our Platinum Dance Studio competitors kicked into high gear at the Masquerade Dance Competition in West Memphis, Arkansas February 8-10, 2013. The entire team entertained the spectators with their amazing routines! Platinum Dance Studio even won the Masquerade Video of the Week contest!! Congratulations to all the talented team members and to the terrific teachers!
Masqueradeis proud to be the most exciting and fun-filled dance competition touring today! That is probably why they adopted the phrase “Laissez les Bon Temps Roulez” (Let the Good Times Roll) because they provide a Mardi Gras like atmosphere to their events.
Masquerade Dance Competition 2013
Their mission is to blend the fun and excitement of Mardi Gras with a well-organized and professionally run dance competition. They strive to make the whole weekend a stress free event. During competitions you even get to experience the “Spirit of New Orleans” when their crew and judges throw beads and Mardi Gras trinkets into the crowds!
We had solos, duos, trios, as well as small, large groups and a line performance representing Platinum at Masquerade and are absolutely thrilled with all the awards they notched up! Platinum Dance Studio competitors managed to win 8 Gold, 12 High Gold, 8 Platinum, 2 Top 10 overall placements and 7 Top 5 overall placements – Wow!! We also received the Junior Encore Award and Junior Spirit Award as well as the Senior Encore Award – Go Platinum!!! Here is a detailed list of the competition results.
